A Great Coupon Adventure at CVS

Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to share with you a great couponing experience that I had at CVS.

CVS is running a promotion on Dove or Degree Products: Spend $20 and get $10 in Extra Bucks.

I like Dove soap and had several coupons, so I decided that this was a winner.  I also saw a reasonable price on Scott 12pk bathroom tissue.

Here is the breakdown on what I bought.

$ 7.00 Dove Body Wash 24 ounces
$ 7.00 Dove Body Wash 24 ounces
$ 7.00 Dove Body Wash 24 ounces
$ 6.88 Scott 12 Pack Bathroom Tissue
$27.88 total

Coupons:
$2.00 off Dove (Sunday Newspaper from a couple of weeks ago)
$2.00 off Dove (Sunday Newspaper from a couple of weeks ago)
$1.50 off Dove (This Sunday’s Newspaper)
$1.50 Extra Bucks from a previous purchase
$5.00 off when you spend $25 (CVS Coupon)
$12.00 total

Let’s add up the total, subtract the coupon savings, and add tax:

  $27.88 total
- $12.00 coupons
  $15.88 total

   $15.88 total
+ $ 1.89 tax
   $17.77 final price

But wait!  I get $10 Extra Bucks for buying Dove.

  $17.77 final price
- $10.00 Extra Bucks
$ 7.77 New Final Price with Extra Bucks

Hold up!  One more bonus!

When my receipt was printing up, I got a bonus $6.50 Extra Bucks!  This was totally unexpected.  According to CVS, I earned this with my summer spending!  So let’s recalculate this math.

 $7.77 Final price that included Extra Bucks
-$6.50 Additional Extra Bucks
  $1.27 final price with all Extra Bucks!!!!!!!!!!!

So to sum it all up, I got three bottles of Dove Body Wash and a Scott 12 pk bathroom tissue for $1.27.

That might be my best one yet…

Here is a tip:
There is a CVS scanner in the store that will give you coupons.  It’s usually in the front of the store.  Scan your ExtraCare card there every time you shop at CVS because you never know what coupon is going to come out.  One day, I got $2.50 Extra Bucks!

Very impressive. I love CVS for my coupon card! I love the beeps that go off before all the coupons print out. I feel like a winner. Stopping over from SITS - I like to check out the person before me on roll call.
